Dr. Oliveira currently has a provisional license to practice veterinary medicine in British Columbia. He is advancing his clinical experience under the mentorship of our experienced veterinarians. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the State University of Ceará (UECE) in Brazil. His academic and clinical background is distinguished by a strong foundation in feline internal medicine, dermatology, cytopathology, and infectious diseases, particularly vector-borne illnesses in small animals.

Before relocating to Canada, Dr. Oliveira practiced veterinary medicine in Brazil for four years and contributed to several peer-reviewed publications as a university research assistant. His research focused on tropical vector-borne diseases, immune-mediated conditions, and dermatological disorders in small animals.

Dr. Oliveira joined our hospital initially as a veterinary technician while awaiting licensure, and quickly became a valued member of our team. He brings a deep commitment to evidence-based medicine, a collaborative approach to patient care, and a passion for helping animals in critical need.

As a good Brazilian, Dr. Oliveira enjoys a hot sunny day outdoors. When not at the hospital, he likes going to lakes and trails, but is unfortunately not a good soccer player.
